Ben Nevis Lodge is unique and with so many options to enjoy, we love hearing from you and answering any questions. The most frequent questions are below for all others, please contact us.
No. You and your party will be the only guests to experience Ben Nevis station while you're staying with us.
Ben Nevis Station is is accessible only by a 10-minute helicopter flight or a privately guided two-hour road transfer.
While at the lodge, there is good mobile coverage and wireless internet. While travelling through out the Nevis Valley, there are times when mobile may and may not be available.
Unfortunately Ben Nevis Station is not suited to children and we have a minimum age requirement of 16 years old to join us on the property.
We offer 'Family Style' New Zealand Cuisine prepared by a personal chef. Due to our remoteness we will request that a preference list for each guest is provided to us at time of booking confirmation. We will design and send through a menu in advance to be approved and accepted prior to each stay. Additional provisions outside of this menu can be arranged and charged for a convenience fee. We will try our best to accommodate any last minute changes, however this may not always be possible due to the remote nature of the lodge.
Ben Nevis Station is about unique, enriching experiences personalised for you that leverage the uniqueness of the location. So, what that means is your comfort is what is important, not fashion.
For day time, outdoor active wear and shoes, sun block and a hat to protect from the sun are required. Bathing suit for a spa after a long day is recommended.
For night time, as the temperatures drop in the valley, long pants and warm jacket is required.
We can offer an array of optional extras to suit those who perfer a more relaxed break, including: massages, spa treatments, cooking classes, yoga and more. Please contact us with your ideas for a custom quote.
Experiences only available to guests or for corporate day bookings which are packages for a full day experience. We do not offer individual tours for any of our on site experiences.
We suggest you contact DOC for further information on hiking and biking routes in the region, but we do not allow unauthorised personnel onto the property for safety reasons as the Station is a working farm.
